One BUSY weekend!

Last weekend was extremely busy for us...

We left on Friday to head to Monticello for a wedding rehearsal, getting there well in advance of the 6pm start time. After the rehearsal, we went to the dinner, which was at a local park. It was very enjoyable. Unfortunately, we also didn't get to our hotel until around 10pm. Once we got there, we realized we forgot one crucial item - a CD player and Ethan's lullaby CD that he falls asleep to! NOT GOOD!!! Jake had to drive him around town to get him to fall asleep. Luckily, it only took about 15 minutes. But then Ella wanted to drive around too! She was finally asleep just after 11pm in mommy's arms. (She was too afraid to sleep by herself in that strange room!)

Saturday brought the wedding. Since Jake and I were both in it, my sister-in-law Jessie was kind enough to take my kids to her house to have lunch, rest, and get ready for the wedding. Great! Until she returned to tell me that Ella had an accident once they got there and Ethan screamed like bloody murder the whole time! I felt SO bad! They also didn't nap. Amazingly, they both did really well at the reception.

Sunday brought another hour long road trip out to Waconia to see Dylan graduate. The kids got to stay at Great-grandma's house - thankfully she lives kitty-corner from the high school! Ethan napped the WHOLE time we were gone!

We took Dylan out to dinner at Tony Roma's at the Mall of America (making grandma and grandpa Meyer VERY jealous!) and then headed home. We were so glad to be home, we were all in bed asleep by 10pm!

Overall it was a pretty good weekend. Considering all the activities and driving, the kids did really well! Thankfully a weekend like that won't happen again for a loooooong time!
